Hari ini, tepat 11 tahun saya berada di Kota Cantik - Bumi Isen Mulang – Palangkaraya - Kalimantan Tengah. Teringat 23 Oktober 1996 silam, saya bersama teman terbaikku (Agustan, Ansar dan Yudi) pertama kali menginjakkan kaki di Tanah Dayak ini. Tiba di Pelabuhan Rambang dari Banjarmasin menggunakan speedboat, dijemput rekan alumni SKMA Samarinda (wisnu blackok, sinus musang, koko anoa dan heriko tempakul) yang kebetulan pernah sama-sama wisuda gabungan di Makassar tanggal 24 Juni 1996.
Oya, kedatanganku ke Palangkaraya – Kalimantan Tengah ini karena penempatan tugas alias ikatan dinas setelah selesai menjalani pendidikan di SKMA Ujung Pandang. Alhamdulillah, di tahun yang sama nasib lagi mujur langsung pengangkatan jadi CPNS di Kanwil Departemen Kehutanan Provinsi Kalimantan Tengah (sekarang Dinas Kehutanan, red).
Sekarang, saya sudah berkeluarga (menikah tanggal 4 September 2004 di Samarinda) dan di karunia seorang anak laki-laki. Istri kelahiran Bogor tapi besarnya di Samarinda. Namanya Maulida Indira, anak kedua dari tiga bersaudara. Kalo anak saya, Ali Marzuq Abdullah kelahiran Samarinda tanggal 17 Juni 2005 bertepatan dengan hari jadi Kota Palangkaraya.
Alhamdulillah, segala puji bagiMU ya ALLAH, atas semua limpahan rahmat yang telah Engkau berikan kepada hambaMU ini.
